Please note; unlike most brands that use European or American lead grades, Blackwing has four proprietary lead grades, listed below:
  • Soft: The softest and darkest Blackwing graphite. It’s like 3B lead.
  • Balanced: Blackwing’s balanced graphite is similar to 2B lead.
  • Firm: Firm lead is similar in feel to B lead.
  • Extra Firm: The hardest graphite Blackwing offers. It’s the most similar to #2 or HB pencil lead.
