About The Papery Glebe
The Papery (Bank Street) Ltd. first opened its doors in Ottawa’s charming Glebe neighbourhood back in 1986. Nestled at the corner of Bank and Fifth, we’ve had the joy of growing alongside the vibrant community here. Through the many changes over the years, one thing has remained constant: our deep roots in this special place.
Following a devastating fire on Boxing Day 2022, we settled, temporarily, at 858 Bank Street; a stone’s throw from our original spot. We enjoyed our pop-up shop experience and it was a very cute little store! Here is a snap from our photo album...
We returned to our historic home in September 2024 with construction and other excitements keeping us nimble. Onward to February 2025 and we are finally done- just in time for Valentine's Day!

The Papery (Bank Street) Ltd. remains loosely connected to The Papery on Fort Street in Victoria, British Columbia. While the original Toronto locations, which began in the 1970's, have since closed, we’re proud to carry on the legacy as a second-generation business.
Our Hours
Monday - Saturday: 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
Sunday : 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.
